The Pacific Medical Administrative Group (PMAG) has been supporting Independent Physicians in Hawaii since 1988. PMAG is one of the largest physician networks in Hawaii, represented by over 750 physician members across both primary care and specialty practices. PMAG’s priority is to help ensure independent practice is sustainable to allow physicians to provide high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to the people of Hawaii. Independent practice physicians are both clinicians and small business owners. Both aspects are challenging in the current landscape in Hawaii. Those difficulties include increasing costs, reduced reimbursement, and helping their patients maneuver through fragmented and complex continuum of care.
